AWS seems stable enough to proceed with our planned maintenance. We'll post any updates as we have them. We still expect the downtime window to be about 30 minutes.

Update
While we prepared for tonight's maintenance window, AWS posted an alert regarding increased API error rates and errors preventing instances in the us-east-1 EC2 region from initializing successfully. Given this new information, we're going to postpone our maintenance work until the AWS incident is resolved and we're able to bring up instances after our maintenance window.
